Team Us Kids provides a fun learning environment for elementary aged children (ages 7 to 11 years old) to work on friendship building skills within a group setting.  Each week, our kids will work on interpersonal skills with the goal of building up their confidence in approaching social situations.

In addition to rehearsing the skills being taught, our kids will participate in purposeful activities and games during each session that help reinforce these learned skills.  Each class will be designed to maximize opportunities for positive peer interactions.  Our groups focus on helping our kids learn about themselves and others, understanding expectations, and navigating challenges in a constructive manner that promotes continued friendship development.  

If you want your child to make friends, we are here to support.  Our goal is to help your child have fulfilling and rewarding social interactions with their peers.

We believe in the inclusion and support of all individuals, so that each person is better able to relate and get along with their peers. Children in our social group will be taught valuable skills and be given opportunities to:

• Practice communication skills and find common interests

• Play cooperatively and work as a team

• Demonstrate active listening and pro-social skills

• Improve social emotional skills

• Develop perspective taking and appropriate problem solving skills

• Work on sharing and turn taking

• Understand and improve social etiquette

• Promote positive peer interactions and maintain a positive attitude
